About
DUAL
The Distinguished Universities Alumni League (DUAL) is a local umbrella organization comprising members from the following
18 university alumni clubs: Brown University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Cornell University Hotels, Dartmouth College, INSEAD, Johns Hopkins University, London Business School, London School of Economics, MIT, NUS MBA,
Oxbridge Society, Princeton University, Stanford University, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, University of Pennsylvania and Yale University. DUAL is a non-profit, umbrella organization and aims to encourage knowledge exchange, strengthen relationships and promote community service amongst its member clubs. DUAL strives to fulfill its objectives through the annual DUAL Ball, the DUAL Development & Skillbase Initiatives and regular inter-alumni events such as the DUAL Drinks, Thanksgiving/Holiday Dinners, business related talks and seminars by professors of various universities. DUAL has held annual charity balls for the past five years raising funds for Club Rainbow, Touch Community Services, MINDS, CARE, and True Hearts Connection. The annual DUAL Ball is the highlight of its social calendar. It is a fund raising and social platform for alumni and friends of DUAL. The goals are to encourage social giving and at the same time provide networking and interaction opportunities among members of DUAL clubs. DUAL Ball also spearheads alumni community service efforts for its designated charity. In lieu of the annual DUAL Ball, DUAL is presenting a charity concert this year in support of its beneficiary, the Canossian School. The DUAL Development & Skillbase Initiative (DUAL DS) disseminates to alumni members information in the public domain on skills-based volunteer opportunities in Singapore and in the region. Its goal is to foster active citizenry among alumni to contribute skills towards development and regional peace for the benefit of society. DUAL DS in collaboration with SMU has launched a very successful DUAL-SMU Technology and World Change Competition in 2004.
